Our weekend
Okay so this weekend we went to New Castle which is close to Scotland. We (Juanita and myself) had a great time.
We saw a lot of castles, catherdrals, and museums. We met a ton of interesting people including the owners of a kebab shop, who gave us free kebabs.
We went to many night clubs including a 70's club, an 80's club, and much more. People seemed to be very friendly towards us except for the taxi drivers which we had a rought time with.
On Sunday we went to Alnwick Castle where harry Potter was filmed which was really gorgeous.

The England Bird Calls
So I quickly learned that men in England treat women very differently when they find them attractive. Here are just a few examples I have encountered...
Let's start with example number 1: We are sitting in Pumpkin (a cafe in the train station) eating something really gross (not that it's relevant) but anyways two boys walk in and sit across the restaraunt. They stare at us for a good while and then decide to start whistling at us as if they are birds. Mind you they are across the resaraunt... talk about embarassing. They continued to do this until we left when he said to me "goodbye gorgeous".
Example Number 2: Walking out of the Grantham post office a man was sitting on a bench when we walked out he made the bird call too... it's the strangest thing I've ever heard.
Example number 3: Now this example is just peculuar... we get off the train and we are looking at an information board and these guys run up and knock on the other side of the board nearly giving me a heart attack. Then they proceded to ask us if we wanted to sleep in their bed. Needless to say we quickly ran away.

Our first days in England
So we made it to England! YAY!! We have been here only three days and already we have so many adventures. the flight was long and it was difficult to sleep due to the cramped seats but I managed to doze off and watch a few movies. When we arrived we took a bus to Grantham which is always fun... ok not so much. We were all exhausted from the trip but we had lunch when we arrived and a short orientation. After dinner we tooka short nap so that we could go out to town and check out the nightlife. We called for a taxi and our adventure began. We were unsure of where we were supposed to meet the taxi driver so we ended up walking down the road a bit. After we got in the taxi we had him take us to Goose at the Bank a local bar/ restaurant. We had a fun time and afterwards went to a bar called chequers which ended up being a rather upscale bar. Then it was time to go home buts since none of us had international calling on our phones we decided to just walk home. We later realized what a horrible idea this really was and next time we will not leave without a taxi. the walk home was long and cold but an adventure none the less. We slept well that night.
The next morning we woke up for breakfast and class. During class we got to discover how big Harlaxton Manor actually is when we walked around to take pictures. That afternoon we went into town to buy groceries. We also went to the Grantham museum and the lovely cathedral downtown. That night we went to the Bistro and had a good time. We met students from other schools that are also staying at the castle.
Today was a long day to say the least. We began our morning with class and then we had our venture to Coventry and Stratford Upon Avon. We saw a massive cathedral. We also went to see Shakespeares grave and house which was fun. Well minus us getting lost on the way. We want to try crumpets but haven't been able to find them yet so that will be an ongoing cahllenge for us. We saw an interesting play tonight; A Winters Tale.
We have had alot of fun so far and I am looking foward to our weekend trip.
